GM3 has partnered with Symbio Wildlife Park to develop a first-of-its-kind educational app designed for children aged 5–12. The app helps children learn about local wildlife — where animals live, what they eat, and how to spot them in their natural environment. Think Pokémon Go, but for Australian wildlife!
The local public school adjacent to Dendrobium Mine has played an important role in shaping the app from the very beginning. Students there have been testing it in class, and their feedback has directly influenced its design and functionality.
When officially launched, the app will come with ready-to-use teacher resources and lesson plans, with many local primary schools — including Mount Kembla Public receiving free access.
The app will be available for download soon. Once monetised, 100% of profits will go to the Symbio Conservation Foundation’s not-for-profit fund, supporting wildlife conservation and research across our region and beyond.
